Although I may live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, my heart is in Ireland!
My Father's family emigrated from Ireland in the 1800's. I have been studying Ireland's history for several years now, and I finally made it to Ireland. Northern Ireland to be precise. In June 2004, I participated in the Country Lifestyle 2004 event, combined with the Irish Medieval Festival, on June 12-13th in County Antrim at the Shane's Castle! Check out the Exhibitions page to share my adventure! I am invited to participate in Country Lifestyle 2007.
In August of 2005, I was interviewed live on-air by Gerry Glennon of Midwest Irish Radio. Shortly thereafter he requested that I come up with an image depicting the Children of Lir. I complied. We ran a competition in January of 2006. It was a grand success!
I do not have a 1-800 number, as I am not set-up to accept orders over the telephone. You may contact me by email or by regular postal service;

O Carolans
lament blows across the glen,
where once stood gods and men.
where warriors roared and women cried,
gone and forgotten, all those who died.
where once ran red lies pastures green,
each broken tree holds dead men's dream.
no name remembered nor ever spoken,
once proud hearts now lie broken.
no sun to set on this fair isle,
no gift of light for Erin's smile.
no hill to stand for gave or view,
no bitter sweet taste of morning dew.
gone and forgotten are legends past,
from father to son it did not last.
of gods and demons, king and slave,
all transferred from mouth to grave.
but brightness reborn and shall redress,
all become apparent on crude canvas.
once more return to this fertile land,
guided and loved by the artists hand.

a small poem dedicated to the artist, who helps us all appreciate our past,
present and future, who create and present imagination that angels only
whisper
